Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is the desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
A.A. Meetings in The Netherlands
A.A., people from all corners of society, young, old, men, women of all professions and different kinds of social backgrounds come together on meetings.
The purpose of all A.A. group meetings, as our Preamble states, is for A.A. members to share “their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.”
If you want to go to an AA meeting, just see the contact page on AA NL, or on this website.
Please mind that not all information is available in English. The spoken language in our meetings is Dutch. There are also meetings in English. A way of searching for a meeting in English is by going to this site;
